ABOUT:

I have worked as a photojournalist for more than 25 years in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. Over the past 19 years, I worked for the Los Angeles Daily News as a photographer and a photo editor.  My work shooting pictures and editing my colleagues’ photos has proven a valuable experience.  Now, after years of covering many great news assignments, I have decided to leave the newspaper business.  In March of 2008 I
left the Daily News and I’m now following my dreams of starting my own business.

It all began when my son Grant turned four.  At that time I began taking pictures of his baseball, football and basketball teams for fun.  I would make prints and produce slide shows for the kids on the team and their parents.  I continue to photograph his games today, five years later.  The families have always loved my work and had always encouraged me to start a photography business.

My idea of photographing kids and then making them into life-sized cut out wall graphics came when my son asked for a Fathead to put on his wall.  That got me thinking if there was a way to get a life-sized image of my son on the wall.  I would much rather have my own son on the wall then somebody I don’t really know.  Plus, I thought it would be cool.  I began some research and found a company that prints life sized cut outs from photographs.  Soon, friends began asking for the same thing for their own kids.  One thing led to another and the outcome is a business that offers your kids a chance to be a BIGSHOT.

I know that great images can evoke emotions and create lasting memories. My goal is to bring forth the best images in all my work and give my clients something they will treasure and be proud to share with friends and relatives.  I believe that a BIGSHOT takes that goal a step further.  And it’s a lot more fun.
